Uploading Files & Pasting Text
Create a new paste in seconds

The Create New Paste card on the homepage is where everything starts. You can upload one or more files, or type/paste text directly.

  1. Open CoPaste Online in your browser. You don't need to log in to get started.
  2. Click Upload File to pick one file, or Multiple Files to select up to your plan's batch limit. You can also drag and drop files directly onto the text area.
  3. Alternatively, type or paste any text content directly into the text area.
  4. Choose an expiry date (if logged in) or leave the default (3 days for guests).
  5. Click Save. A unique 6-character access code is generated instantly.
  6. Share the code, copy the direct link, or use the QR code — the recipient enters the code to access your file.
You can also paste an image from your clipboard directly into the text area (Ctrl+V / Cmd+V). CoPaste will detect it and prepare it for upload automatically.

Supported file types depend on your plan:

CategoryFormatsGuest & FreeStarter+
ImagesJPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG, AVIF, BMP…

Do not upload sensitive files, passwords, financial data, or personal information. Anyone with the 6-character code can access the file unless you use the Private Files feature.
Accessing a File by Code
How to retrieve any uploaded content

Every upload on CoPaste Online gets a unique 6-character alphanumeric code (e.g. AB12CD). This code is the key to accessing the file.

  1. On the Access Paste by Code panel (right column on desktop, below on mobile), type the 6-character code in the input field.
  2. Press Access or hit Enter. The file or text content will appear immediately below.
  3. You can also open it directly via URL: https://vnclark.my.id/?code=AB12CD

What you can do after accessing a file:

  • View images inline, play videos and audio, preview PDFs and Word/Excel files
  • Copy text content with one click
  • Download any file type to your device
  • View the file expiry date
  • If you are the file owner: toggle Local Network Share and Private File settings directly from this panel
If the file was marked Private by its owner, you will see a "Private File" error unless you are logged into the owner's account. If the file is Network Restricted, it can only be viewed from the same local network it was uploaded on (Free plan behavior without network share).
QR Codes
Instant sharing across devices with your camera

Every file gets a QR code that encodes its direct access URL. This is the fastest way to transfer a file between a computer and a phone — no typing required.

Two ways to use QR codes:

  • Show QR for a file: After uploading, click the QR button next to any file in your history list. A modal appears with the QR code and a copyable link.
  • Scan a QR code: Click the icon inside the Access Code input field. Your browser's camera will open and automatically detect the QR code.
💡 Real-world example

You're on your laptop and want to send a photo to your phone. Upload the image → click QR → scan with your phone camera → the image opens instantly in your phone's browser.

QR code scanning requires your browser to have permission to access the camera. If you deny permission, you can still type the code manually.
File Expiry & Auto-Deletion
How long your files are kept

All files on CoPaste Online have an expiry date. When a file expires, it is permanently and automatically deleted from the server — the code becomes invalid.

PlanMax ExpiryOptions
Guest3 days (fixed)No choice — always 3 days
Free14 days1, 3, 7, or 14 days
Starter30 days1, 3, 7, 14, or 30 days
Pro90 days1, 3, 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 days
Business365 daysUp to 365 days
Lifetime∞ ForeverAny duration, including permanent (no expiry)
Business and Lifetime users can extend the expiry of an existing file at any time from the File Manager — no need to re-upload.

The expiry badge on each file in your history shows three states:

  • Forever — Lifetime plan permanent files
  • Soon — expires within 24 hours
  • Expired — already deleted
Guest Usage (No Account)
What you can do without signing up

You don't need an account to use CoPaste Online. As a guest, you can upload files and access them immediately — but with stricter limits than registered users.

LimitValue

Max file size10 MB per file

Supported typesImages, documents, text/code, and ZIP archives — no video or audio

HistoryAll guest uploads on your network appear in each other's history automatically
Auto Local Network Share: Every file you upload as a guest is immediately visible in the history of all other guests connected to the same local network. There is no toggle — this is always on for guests. Register a free account to control your sharing settings.
Register a free account to get 3 files/batch, 15 MB per file, unlimited daily uploads, up to 14-day expiry, and full control over network sharing — all at no cost.
💡 When to use guest mode

Quick, one-time transfers where you want a file to immediately appear on all devices at your location — phone, laptop, TV — without typing a code. For private files or longer retention, register a free account.

User Accounts
Register, login, and manage your account

Creating an account is free and unlocks significantly more functionality. Registration requires only a username, email, and password.

Benefits of a registered account:

  • Your file history is tied to your account — accessible from any device you are logged into
  • Upload history survives IP changes (e.g., switching Wi-Fi networks)
  • Access to the File Manager panel to manage all your uploads
  • Greater upload limits (batch, daily, file size) even on the free tier
  • Ability to choose file expiry (up to 14 days on free)

Forgot your password? Use the "Forgot password?" link on the login form to reset it via email.

Your Free plan allows only 2 active device sessions at a time. If you exceed this on a new device, the older session will be revoked. Paid plans allow 4–9 simultaneous devices.
Local Network Share — Share Files on LAN & Wi-Fi
Transfer files between devices on the same network — no cables, no app, no account needed

CoPaste Local Network Share lets you share files instantly between any devices connected to the same Wi-Fi or LAN (local area network) — without sending a link, without installing any app, and without needing an internet connection to transfer between local devices. It works like a shared clipboard for your entire network: upload once, and everyone on the same network can see it.

What makes CoPaste unique: Most file sharing services only work online. CoPaste works both on your local network (LAN/Wi-Fi) AND over the internet — from the same interface, with no extra setup.

Common use cases:

  • 📱→💻 Transfer a photo from your phone to your laptop on the same Wi-Fi
  • 🏢 Share a document with colleagues on the office LAN without email
  • 🏠 Move files between home devices (PC, tablet, TV, NAS) without USB
  • 👨‍💻 Share code snippets or config files across developer machines on the same network
  • 🖨️ Send a file to a shared device (printer server, shared PC) on the network

How to share a file on your local network:

  1. Open CoPaste on any device — no installation needed, just a browser.
  2. Upload a file or paste text as usual.
  3. Access the file using its code (or from your history).
  4. Find the Local Network Share toggle in the file view panel → toggle it ON.
  5. On any other device connected to the same Wi-Fi or LAN, open CoPaste — the file appears in history automatically. No code needed.
  6. Toggle it OFF at any time to remove it from the network immediately.
How does it detect the local network? CoPaste uses your device's IP address to identify network membership. All devices sharing the same public/gateway IP (same router) are considered on the same local network.
💡 Real-world example: Office file transfer

You're at the office and receive a 200MB video on your phone. You need it on your laptop for editing. Just open CoPaste on your phone → upload → enable Local Network Share. On your laptop (same office Wi-Fi), open CoPaste → file appears in history → download. Done in seconds, no USB, no email, no cloud upload needed.

💡 Real-world example: Share online from anywhere

Need to send the same file to someone outside your network? Just share the 6-character code or QR code. They open CoPaste on any browser, anywhere in the world — same file, instantly accessible online.

Only use Local Network Share on trusted networks (home, office). On public Wi-Fi (coffee shop, airport), your file becomes visible to all users on that network.

Availability: Local Network Share is available to all users including guests. Guest uploads are shared on the local network automatically — no toggle needed. Registered users can control it per-file.

Private Files
Restrict a file to your account only — available on Starter+
Starter Pro Business Lifetime

When a file is marked Private, it can only be accessed by the account that uploaded it. Anyone else who has the 6-character code will see a "Private File" error — the file is completely hidden to them.

How to make a file private:

  1. Upload a file. Files are public by default (anyone with the code can view them).
  2. Access your file using its code.
  3. In the file view, find the Private File toggle bar (visible only to the file owner on a qualifying plan).
  4. Toggle it ON and confirm the dialog. The file is now private.
  5. A Private badge appears next to the file in your history.
  6. Toggle it OFF at any time to make the file accessible with its code again.
Only the file owner (the account that uploaded it) can toggle the Private setting. Other users — even on paid plans — cannot change the privacy of files they didn't upload.
💡 Real-world example

You upload a personal document for backup purposes and want to make sure only you can retrieve it. Enable Private — even if someone guesses the 6-character code, they'll be denied access.

File Manager
Browse, search, and manage all your uploads in one place

The File Manager is a collapsible panel on the homepage (below your history) available to all registered users. It shows up to 200 of your most recent uploads with powerful tools to manage them.

How to open it: Click the File Manager card header at the bottom of the left column on the homepage. The list loads only when you open it — not on every page load — keeping the app fast.

Basic features (all registered plans):

  • Search — filter files by filename in real time as you type
  • Type filter — show only Images, Documents, Videos, Audio, Archives, Text/Code, or Other
  • Sort — by Newest, Oldest, Name A–Z, or Largest file first
  • Open file — click any row to access that file's code
  • Delete single — the button on each row
  • Bulk delete — check multiple files → click Delete Selected
  • Badges Private · Network Shared

Pro plan extras:

  • Rename files — click the icon on any file to rename it
  • Storage usage bar — a visual indicator of your total storage used (shown in the card header and inside the panel)

Business & Lifetime plan extras:

  • Extend expiry — click to add days to a file's expiry without re-uploading. Bulk extend is also supported (select files → Extend)
  • Export CSV — download a CSV file of all your uploads (filename, type, size, expiry, privacy status) — useful for backups or auditing
For Lifetime plan users, the storage bar shows your usage out of the 300 GB disk quota with color changes as you approach the limit: green → yellow (70%) → red (90%).
Multi-Device Sessions
How device limits work across plans

CoPaste Online tracks how many devices are simultaneously active on your account. A device is considered "active" if it has been seen within the last 15 minutes.

PlanActive Devices Allowed
Free2
Starter4
Pro6
Business9
Lifetime5

A unique device fingerprint (derived from a browser cookie) is used to identify each device. If you exceed your plan's device limit, uploads from excess devices will be blocked with an error message.

Managing devices: Go to My Subscription → view your active sessions and revoke any you no longer use. Revoking a device immediately forces it to log out on next request.

Using private/incognito mode, clearing browser cookies, or switching browsers will register as a new device. If you're on the Free plan (2 devices), exceeding the limit will revoke older sessions.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to common questions
Yes — use the Multiple Files button. The number of files you can upload at once depends on your plan (2 for guests, 3 for Free, up to 10 for Business/Team). All selected files in one batch will share the same expiry date and result in separate access codes.
If you are logged in, go to your File Manager or check the history panel — all your uploads are listed there with their codes. If you used the service as a guest, the file is only findable if you still have the code or the original link.
A public file (default) can be accessed by anyone who has the 6-character code — no account required. A Private file (Starter+ only) can only be accessed by the logged-in account that owns it. Even if someone has the correct code, they will be denied.
Yes. Logged-in users can delete files from the File Manager (trash icon on each row) or from the file view panel (the Delete button appears only to the file owner). Guests cannot delete files — they expire automatically.
Files uploaded by Free plan users are accessible by default only from the same local network (IP) as the upload. If you're on a different network, you'll see "Network Restricted". To make your files accessible from any network, upgrade to Starter or above.
New uploads will be rejected with a "Disk quota exceeded" error showing how much is used and how much is free. To free up space, delete files from the File Manager. The quota is recalculated instantly after deletion — you can upload again immediately.
All paid plans are paid via USDT on the BSC (BEP-20) network. Go to Pricing, choose a plan, click Pay, and send the exact USDT amount to the displayed wallet address. Your plan activates automatically after blockchain confirmation. No bank account or credit card needed.
